12 must-have add-ons for Firefox 3 $$$$

Extensions, plug-ins, add-ons, whatever you want to call 'em, Firefox 3 has 'em. In fact, though it may seem that many of your favorites haven't yet updated, you might be in luck. By visiting the home pages of several of the plug-ins I use, I found that most of them had either a functional, stable beta or a full update ready to use with Firefox 3. This collection of add-ons I use both at home and in the office, and can be used for the Windows, Mac, and Windows Portable versions of the browser.

You wouldn't think that AdBlock Plus is an essential plug-in, but once installed it changes the way you look at the Web--literally. By block advertisements from appearing, you can approach a somewhat more zen-like, 1996-looking Internet experience. Well, not really, but there's definitely a lot less clutter staring back at you.

Session Manager and Tab Mix Plus are must-haves for tab and browsing session management. Tab Mix Plus gives you what feels like an infinite amount of control over tab behavior, from how they open to how they close. It's a little overwhelming how much you can do with this add-on, so I recommend checking out the Download.com Tab Mix Plus user's guide.

AdBlock Plus stops nearly all Internet advertising.

Session Manager does for sessions what Tab Mix Plus does for tabs. Although TMP does save sessions, I found that to be the one feature that was lacking: during browser crashes, it often lost my tab sessions. Session Manager sorts out that problem fast, and allows you to keep and recall multiple tab and browsing sessions at will--among its other excellent features.

When Firefox is your main browser, there's rarely a just cause for the casual user to open up Internet Explorer. For the rest of us, IE Tab eliminates all the other reasons by forcing Firefox to render a page using the Internet Explorer engine. You must have IE installed on your machine for this plug-in to work, but the convenience and saved resources can't be beat.

FoxyTunes remains a top-notch plug-in and gets points for being one of the few to introduce new features with its update. FoxyTunes 3.0 adds the ability to turn any page into a playlist, as long as the Web page has music already embedded in it. For those who are new to this plug-in, though, it does much more. It lets you control your media player from the Firefox toolbar, and supports more than two dozen players including iTunes, WinAmp, MediaMonkey, Pandora, Last.fm, and more.

Fast approaching seven free gigabytes of online storage, you can turn your Gmail account into something more than a mere e-mail client with Gmail Space. The FTP-style split-screen interface is instantly recognizable, and it sends you an e-mail notification when you upload a file. Create a simple filter and a label and you never have to worry about transferring files again--as long as Google's servers remain impregnable, at any rate.

FaviconizeTab and Tab Scope are the perfect one-two punch for a tab addict such as myself. FaviconizeTab utilizes a hotkey command to turn any tab into the size of a favicon. This won't stop you--or me--from having 20 or even 40 tabs open, but it makes them take up a lot less space. Tab Scope provides Opera-style mouse-over previews of your tabs. So, if you can't remember what your faviconized tabs were, perhaps a quick preview snapshot will jog your memory.

The All-in-One Sidebar handles the new Add-on window without complaint--even if it's a bit inelegant.

Like AdBlock Plus, you don't know you need DragDropUpload until you install it. The add-on gives you the ability to drag a file from your desktop into any text field in a Web page. Lightweight but extremely effective, if you e-mail a lot of attachments, this should quickly become a massive time-saver.

Download Statusbaris a tool I use at work for discovering the absolute URL for files that I'm downloading. It can be used for much more, though. It opens a second status bar when you begin downloading a file, and lets you manage the download via context menu options. I'm not a huge fan of having to open many of Firefox's secondary features in new windows, and I find this to be much more convenient.

AIOS, or the All-In-One-Sidebar, allows me to force the Add-ons and Downloads windows in a sidebar, but it also creates a collapsing sidebar that comes with a secondary toolbar. I have it set open my bookmarks, history, and page info as well as add-on and download lists, but I also use the toolbar to hold links to FireFTP, Gmail Space, my Del.icio.us bookmarks, and a "Restart Firefox" button provided by MR Tech Toolkit (formerly known as Local Install).

Ullaga Nayagan rocks!!!!!!!!!

Finally got to see the movie today along with ma friends..The film is simply is awesome is what i feel...mind u this my opinion..read on to know more..

An embodiment of perfect film is all we have got to say about Dasavatharam. Put down the controversies and hurdles that this flick faced and today it makes up for all. Blending science and spirituality and of course the unforgettable disaster Tsunami together, this is an awesome movie delivered by K.S.Ravikumar and Kamal Haasan. For sure, it looks like the core of Dasavatharam bloomed up with Kamal Haasan on the day of Tsunami that had hit before four years.

If 10 Avatars were ideated by Kamal Haasan, Director K.S.Ravikumar has well executed these characters weaving relationship between each of them. Each and every character on screen has something to do more crucial throughout 3 hours of spine chilling thriller.

In simple, Dasavatharam is about a God’s statue that weaves a network between 10 characters played by Kamal Haasan…

The film opens with Govindarajan (Kamal Haasan), a scientist from NASA addressing a huge crowd at Nehru Stadium where Chief Minister Karunanidhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and American President George Bush seated as chief guests. In his speech, Govindarajan speaks about the history of a statue that has passed through many ages carrying supernatural power. Immediately, with no fraction of seconds you are taken back to 12th century where Raja Nambi (Kamal Haasan) wildly attacks his king’s soldiers removing a God’s statue from the temple. Enraged King Raja Kulothunga (Napoleon) has Raja Nambi tied to the statue and thrown into the sea.

Straight off to the 21st Century, the scene starts with December 20, 2004 where Govindaraju aka Govind (Kamal Haasan) is shown formulating a biological weapon at NASA. But situations are tougher, when the weapon goes high in demand and people are right behind to grab it… The tale further moves about for other 4 days where 9 different characters encounter each other.

Grandeur indeed, the film has the best fascinating treat for the audiences who yearned to watch this flick for over many days. We are sure that Dasavatharam is sure to take Tamil cinema couple of steps ahead. If Kamal Haasan as Raja Nambi makes your emotions raised, for laughter you have CBI Naidu trickling your ribs with his laughter elements. Of course, this character travels right throughout the film and even the Hit Man on negative (again played by Kamal Haasan) does the same.

Excellence is more witnessed with the character of American President George Bush. Not alone about his makeover we are speaking about, but his very attributes of unknowledgeable personality makes whole lot of sense and this is real piece of neat work for those who are well versed the real man of United States.

The foolish conversations like ‘What is NACL?” is really throwing us all hitting the floors with intellectual comedy tracks.

Despite playing dual roles in the film, Asin hasn’t got much to do on her part, but her works are really outstanding and in particular her enunciating the Brahmin style is really mind blowing. Malikka Sherawat with an item number and few series of sequences perform equally well on the pars.

Well, its really breathtaking to see that Tsunami and a simple Statue have been rendered with powerful roles in this film. Technical aspects takes you all far behind your imagination, but graphic works are really unwanted for the moment. Cinematographer Ravi Varman for no specified reason keeps moving the camera up and down.

When it comes to Himesh Reshamiya and Devi Sri Prasad, both these buddies have rocked with splendid musical scores. ‘Oh Oh Sanam’ sang by Kamal Haasan is really good since it carries a good message. Devi Sri Prasad with his background scoring alone enhances the visual quality.

As a whole, things that make us sing appraisals of Dasavatharam are a grandeur work of Kamal Haasan and K.S. Ravi Kumar. I am sure its gonna be a huge hit...

kudos!!!

FIREFOX 3 DOWNLOAD!!!

The Spread Firefox team has come up with an innovative idea of a day on which Firefox will be downloaded. The aim, to set a Guinness World Record for the maximum number of downloads of this copy of software within 24 hours.Sounds like a good deal, right? All you have to do is get Firefox 3 during Download Day to help set the record for most software downloads in 24 hours - it’s that easy. I am not asking you to swallow a sword or to balance 30 spoons on your face, although that would be kind of awesome.
The official date for the launch of Firefox 3 is June 17, 2008.
u can visit this url for further info
